Highlights of Day 1 from Round 1 of the 2016/2017 HSBC Sevens World Series in Dubai on December 2nd 2016.
Only 4 teams remain unbeaten: South Africa, Fiji, England and Australia.
USA’s Perry Baker scored superbly on the DHL Performance Tracker during the first day of play in the desert heat. Despite the United States losing out against Scotland 14-5 and South Africa 19-17, it was the Speedstick who provided some real magic both on attack and in defense. The USA won 29-7 against Uganda – and will play in the Challenge Trophy competition (Bottom 8) – looking a 9th place finish.
